Fire completely destroys a house at Anse Aux Pins
Fire completely destroyed a five-bedroom house at Anse Aux Pins yesterday afternoon.
According to the Seychelles Fire and Rescue Services Agency, the incident was reported at 5.12pm.
A press communique issued late yesterday evening stated that two fire tenders from Anse Royale Fire Station, another two and a water bowser from Victoria Fire Station were deployed, with a total crew of seventeen (17) firefighters, to respond to the incident.
SFRSA said they reached the house within 15 minutes and the house was engulfed in flame.
According to SFRSA, it took around 5 to 10 minutes to put the fire under control and an hour to extinguish it completely.
The five-bedroom house was partly built with bricks and corrugated ironsheet.
No injury was reported.
SFRSA is yet to determine the cause of the fire and an investigation is under way.
