Fire completely destroyed a three-bedroom house at North East Point yesterday morning, according to the Seychelles Fire and Rescue Services Agency (SFRSA).
In a communique issued yesterday, the agency stated it received the call at 5.40am and deployed two fire tenders and a water bowser from the Victoria Fire Station to the scene, with ten firefighters.
They reached the place also known as ‘North East Point Dan Vilaz’, within six minutes.
“Upon arrival it was noticed that the fire had completely engulfed the house. The team of firefighters acted quickly to get the fire under control. It took around ten minutes to put the fire under control and thirty minutes to completely extinguish it,” read the communique.
There was no one around at the time of the fire.
SFRSA together with the police have opened an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
